Help Center & User Manual
People-friendly instructions for using the Pick It Up Environmental Initiative Corp™ Application System safely, clearly, and responsibly.
Purpose: inform, report, educate, and support responsible environmental action.
Evidence rule: RECEIVED ≠ VERIFIED. A submitted record is not a verified impact claim until the governing review process approves it.
Human responsibility: Pick It Up AI and automated guidance may assist with navigation and information, but people remain responsible for verification and consequential decisions.
1. Understand the system
Use this Help Center, Pick It Up AI, and the Mission Guide to understand each section before submitting information.
2. Submit environmental action
Sign in when required, choose the activity type, provide accurate details and appropriate evidence, then submit it for review.
3. Wait for verification
A submission is received before it is verified. Points, recognition, and impact reporting should follow the governing review rules.
4. Use local guidance carefully
Only resources explicitly identified as verified or sourced should be treated as confirmed local resources.
5. Use rewards and recognition responsibly
Eligible recognition and rewards are tied to the program rules and, where required, verified activity.
Youth & Schools
Youth participation should be supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, or authorized adult. Protect student privacy and follow school/site rules.
Sponsors & Partners
Partnership interest can be submitted through official contact channels. Interest, conversation, or application is not a confirmed partnership until documented and authorized.
Safety
This system is not an emergency service. Do not enter unsafe areas, handle hazardous materials, trespass, or place yourself at risk to document environmental issues.
Start Here: What This System Does
Understand the public Application System before submitting information or relying on guidance.
Pick It Up Environmental Initiative Corp™ uses this Application System to inform, report, educate, organize community participation, and support responsible environmental action. Public pages include environmental action submission, local-action guidance, rewards and recognition, schools, sponsors, Help Center resources, Contact, and Pick It Up AI. Use the system as a guided public-service tool. Do not treat automated output as proof that a real-world condition, partner, event, reward, or impact result has been verified.
How to Submit Environmental Action
Prepare a clear submission with the details and evidence needed for human review.
Open Submit Action, sign in when required, choose the activity type, describe what happened, identify the location accurately, upload clear photo evidence when requested, and submit the record. A submission should describe what you actually observed or did. Do not exaggerate quantities, locations, participants, or impact. After submission, the record enters review. If additional evidence is needed, the organization may request clarification before approval.
How Verification Works
Learn the difference between received, reviewed, approved, rejected, and verified information.
Verification protects the integrity of the nonprofit’s public reporting. RECEIVED means the system accepted a record. IN REVIEW means an authorized reviewer is evaluating it. APPROVED or VERIFIED means the organization accepted the record under its review process. REJECTED means the record did not meet the current evidence or program requirements. Pending records must not be counted as verified impact, points, awards, public totals, or sponsor outcomes unless the governing program specifically allows a clearly labeled provisional state.
Using Local Action Guidance
Use local resources carefully and distinguish verified listings from incomplete coverage.
Local Action helps people find responsible next steps for cleanup, recycling, education, reporting, and community participation. Use only listings that the system clearly identifies as verified or sourced. If local coverage is incomplete, the system should say so rather than invent an address, organization, event, operating hour, service area, distance, or eligibility rule. When needed, confirm time-sensitive details directly with the listed organization or an appropriate government or municipal source.
Rewards, Points & Recognition
Understand when points, badges, rankings, or rewards become eligible.
Rewards and recognition are intended to encourage responsible participation, not to replace verification. Where a program requires verified activity, points, badges, rankings, certificates, or rewards should follow approved records rather than pending submissions. Availability, stock, sponsor-supported rewards, eligibility, and program rules can change. Always use the current information displayed inside the system and contact the nonprofit if a reward status is unclear.
Youth & School Participation
Keep school and youth participation supervised, privacy-conscious, and age-appropriate.
Youth participation should be supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, school official, program leader, or other authorized adult. Do not publicly post student home addresses, personal email addresses, precise home locations, private phone numbers, or other sensitive information. School activities should follow school policy, adult supervision requirements, site safety rules, and any applicable consent requirements. Pick It Up AI may explain the program but should not replace authorized adult judgment.
Sponsors, Partners & Community Organizations
Learn how organizations can express interest without turning interest into an unverified partnership claim.
Businesses, schools, nonprofits, community groups, government entities, and other organizations may contact Pick It Up Environmental Initiative Corp™ about sponsorship, partnership, education, volunteering, cleanup support, outreach, technology support, or mission-aligned collaboration. An inquiry, application, meeting, or conversation does not by itself establish an active partnership. Public partnership, financial, or impact claims should be supported by documented authorization or reviewed records.
Safety Before Environmental Action
Do not place yourself or others at risk to document or complete environmental activity.
This Application System is not an emergency service. Do not enter unsafe areas, active roadways, restricted property, unstable structures, contaminated sites, waterways with dangerous conditions, or other hazardous locations to document environmental issues. Do not handle unknown chemicals, medical waste, sharps, explosives, hazardous industrial material, or other dangerous items. Use appropriate local emergency, public-safety, environmental, or municipal channels when a condition requires professional response.
Privacy & Responsible Information Sharing
Share only the information needed for the task and avoid exposing sensitive personal data.
Provide only information necessary to use the system or support review. Avoid entering passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical information, private student data, precise home-location information, or other sensitive data into general message or AI fields. Photos should not unnecessarily expose faces, license plates, private documents, school records, or unrelated personal information. Contact the nonprofit directly if you are unsure whether information is appropriate to submit.
Using Pick It Up AI
Use the nonprofit’s AI guide for navigation, explanation, and mission-aligned information—not final verification.
Pick It Up AI is the public AI guidance layer for this Application System. It can explain how to submit an action, how verification works, where to find system sections, how rewards and school participation work, and how to contact the nonprofit. It should not invent real-world events, facilities, partners, rewards, addresses, operating hours, impact totals, or verification results. When the system does not have enough evidence, Pick It Up AI should say that clearly and direct the user to a human or an authoritative external source when appropriate.
Contact & Human Support
Use the Contact page for system questions, verification concerns, school participation, partnerships, or general support.
For human assistance, use the Contact page, email Logmein@upickitup.org, or call 614-664-3451 during business hours. Contact topics can include environmental action, system support, school participation, volunteering, partnerships, sponsorship, verification questions, or general nonprofit information. A submitted contact form creates a received inquiry for follow-up; it does not guarantee immediate response or establish a partnership, sponsorship, approval, or verified claim.
